A care ethical, phenomenological research to the lived experience of people that took the abortion-pill.

52 drawings 27cm-35cm acrylics and ink on paper.

Some time ago I collaborated with care ethicist and researcher Rianne van Hassel in her: “Care ethical, phenomenological research to the lived experience of people that took the abortion-pill on the basis of care-ethical, phenomonological, apophatical, arts-based methods.”
Now she finished her research followed by her master thesis 👏❤️‍🔥💫🥳.

These drawings are made after the personal stories of Merel, Puck, Sarah and Noortje [pseudonyms]. The process touched me deeply and I am filled with respect for the way Rianne handles the research to such a delicate topic, with care, honesty, and openness. I think it is of great importance to keep an eye on the freedom of choice for woman and I am proud to be part of this loving and constructive research.

During this project I was inspired by the art of ao: Hildegard von Bingen, Louise Bourgeois, Pina Bausch, Femmy Otten, Juul Kraijer, Kiki Smith, Berlinde de Bruyckere. Such strong female artists, I am grateful for their bodies of work.

Now she finished her research followed by her master thesis 👏❤️‍🔥💫🥳.
